Arena Flegrea 2026: Emma Marrone, Capo Plaza, Mannarino, Gianni Morandi and the big summer concerts on stage in the Campi Flegrei

The Arena Flegrea in Naples is hosting major concerts in the summer of 2026. A comprehensive guide to the venue and events.

There is a venue in Naples that has a unique atmosphere, quite unlike any of the city’s other stages: the Arena Flegrea, in the heart of the Mostra d’Oltremare, in Fuorigrotta.

It is neither a stadium nor an indoor arena: it is an open-air amphitheatre, surrounded by the park’s greenery, with a capacity that creates that rare feeling of a major event whilst retaining the intimate atmosphere of a concert.

And in the summer of 2026, the programme is particularly packed.

What is the Arena Flegrea?

The Arena Flegrea forms part of the Mostra d’Oltremare complex, the large exhibition park in Fuorigrotta built in the 1930s. The amphitheatre, with its semi-circular structure and open-air seating, is one of Naples’ most popular concert venues: visibility is excellent from every angle, the sound is distributed naturally, and the surrounding park creates an atmosphere that indoor venues simply cannot match.

Naples’ musical summer: from stadiums to arenas

The Arena Flegrea forms part of an unprecedented summer music scene in Naples in 2026.

On the one hand, there are the big names at the Maradona Stadium (Geolier, Tiziano Ferro, Max Pezzali); on the other, there are the concerts at the Arena Flegrea, the free festivals at the Maschio Angioino, and live performances in hundreds of provincial squares.

The season is wide-ranging and designed for a variety of audiences: from stadium-style Italian pop to urban music, from international rock to Neapolitan songs, right through to free events that blend tradition and entertainment.
For anyone visiting Naples in the summer who loves live music, it’s almost impossible not to find something to suit their taste.

Where to stay

The location of the Guest House Binario Centrale, close to the station and public transport, is also perfect for getting to the Arena Flegrea.

Metro Line 2 from Stazione Centrale takes you directly to Fuorigrotta in about 15 minutes.

No taxis, no parking: just music, there and back.

Practical advice

Concerts at the Arena Flegrea usually start at 9.00 pm.

Queues at the ticket offices and security checks can be quite long: it’s always a good idea to arrive at least 45 minutes early.

What to do before the concert

Fuorigrotta isn’t quite as appealing from a culinary point of view as the historic centre, but there’s no shortage of pizzerias and trattorias right near the Arena. Alternatively, have dinner in the city centre before catching the metro.
