Theater, Music, Dance, Exhibitions, Royal Palace, Mercadante Theater Naples, June 12 – July 12, 2026 – 19th Edition

There’s a reason why cultural travelers choose to visit Naples at this time of year: from June 12 to July 12, 2026, the city becomes the stage for the Campania Teatro Festival, now in its nineteenth edition under the theme “Universe of Peace.”

Over 105 events spanning theater, dance, music, literature, and the visual arts will take place across the most beautiful venues in the historic center.

An international festival that places Naples among Europe’s capitals of live culture.

The festival by the numbers: why you won't want to miss it

The nineteenth edition, directed by Ruggero Cappuccio and organized by the Fondazione Campania dei Festival, chaired by Alessandro Barbano, is the most extensive ever: 105 events, 67 world premieres, international co-productions, and a multidisciplinary program across nine sections—International, National Drama, Special Projects, Sportopera, Literature, Music, Dance, Observatory, and Exhibitions. The official poster was created by Maestro Mimmo Paladino.

International Section

Major international companies are bringing new productions to Naples. Among the most anticipated events is the Thierrée-Chaplin family’s show, a journey down memory lane that blends circus, theater, and music hall in a world premiere.

Sportopera

One of the festival’s most original sections: performances that blend sports and theater, such as *Number 23* about Michael Jordan and *Eptathlon*, dedicated to female Olympic athletes. This format has captivated a wide range of audiences and sold out in previous editions.

Musica e 40 Fingers

On June 23, the Cortile delle Carrozze at the Royal Palace will host 40 Fingers, the world’s most famous classical guitar quartet. An unmissable evening in one of Italy’s most picturesque venues.
